Merry Christmas and a happy New Year! Christmas Bash and TrainingChristmas PartyThe karate club is having a Christmas party for everyone this year. It will be on the 8th December at Southport Conservative club starting at 7.30pm. We are hoping everyone will try and support it so we can make it an annual event if it is a success. There will be a disco and buffet. The tickets are £5 for adults and £3 for children. It is on the same weekend as the course so the visiting instructors will be there and it should be a good weekend all round. The course for juniors is on Saturday 8th December from 1pm 2pm with Sensei Ken Button and Sunday 9th December from 10.30 12.00 with Sensei Keenan Pedley at the YMCA and costs £5 for one day or £8 for both. Fortunately for Peter, they invited him over for 4 weeks. HARA National Karate Championships 2003Southport YMCA Karate Club once again came away with honours after competing in the H.S.A. National Karate championships in Preston against clubs from across the country. The club won medals in team kumite, kata and individual events.
